Fresh Off The Boat star Randall Park has joined the cast of Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp. No official word on his role, but there’s strong speculation that he’ll be playing SHIELD Agent Jimmy Woo.

Best known for playing Louis Huang on the hit ABC comedy, Park joins the follow-up to 2015’s Ant-Man, directed by Peyton Reed and starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, a thief turned pint-sized superhero. Evangeline Lily, Michael Douglas and Michael Pena are also set to return.

According to The Tracking Board, Park will play comic book secret agent Jimmy Woo. I have it on fairly reliable authority that this is indeed correct. Randall Park getting his secret agent on as Jimmy Woo! On the big screen!

Hell yeah.

First introduced in 1956 in Yellow Claw #1, the character has had various affiliations over the years. In the most recent Ultimate Marvel storyline, Jimmy Woo is a SHIELD agent working alongside Sharon Carter. He’s actually considered one of the few “positive” Asian American characters to emerge from the Silver Age.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
